Having extra cash is a relief for not only adults, but teenagers too! If you don’t have a job yet, or maybe have a job that could stand to pay more, these are some out-of-the-box ideas to make some money!
- Start a blog
You can write about whatever you’re passionate about, and nowadays, starting a website is tragically easy so you won’t have to worry too much about the technical aspects! Bloggers make money through advertisements and affiliating themselves with others, so the more traffic, the better.
- Thrifting
If you’re anything like me, you enjoy a run to goodwill every now and again. This is a totally viable way to make extra cash though! Selling quality finds from the thrift store after they’ve been washed and spruced up is as easy as making an account on Poshmark or Ebay.
- Freelance Writing
If you enjoy writing in any capacity-- you don’t really need to be good-- you could totally sell some articles or writing pieces! Check out Freelancer.com, Guru.com, Writeraccess.com, or Upwork.com.
- Start a Youtube Channel
Success on Youtube is far from guaranteed, but it is worth a shot to start a channel and have some fun uploading videos! Videos about whatever you’re passionate about, or whatever is popular now, it doesn’t really matter because there’s such a huge user base, someone is bound to click!
- Tutoring
If you’ve got some brains, tutoring could be super easy money for you! There’s options locally and online. Check out Enroll.com if you’re interested in online tutoring, job hunt for some local agencies, or even go solo and do your own advertising!
- Sell Home-Made Clothing or Crafts
If you’ve got a creative spark and enjoy making things, this could be perfect for you! Whether it be making vinyl designs, embroidering onto clothes, or making stuffed animals, there’s a place online for you. Posting your stuff on social media sites like Instagram and TikTok is a must!
- Survey Junkie
If you’ve got nothing better to do, might as well give your opinion and make some money…
- Fiverr
Fiverr offers people a place to sell a wide variety of skills-- and sometimes, they’re not even skills, just tasks! If you like to voiceover, make music, make art, or do social media work, this could be the option for you.
- Redbubble or Cafepress
These sites sell a variety of items with community-made designs on them. The customer can pick from a huge variety of designs to put on stickers, shirts, sweaters-- selling your own beautiful (or hilariously bad) designs could get you some side cash for sure!
- Sell baked goods
There’s nothing more classic than selling cookies or brownies for cash! Except nowadays, rather than set up a roadside stand, you’re better off setting up an Instagram account and marketing to friends, family, and acquaintances on social media!
