The Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival happened for the first ever time on August 29, 2026, at the Irvine Great Park. Temperatures reached almost 100 degrees, but 45,000 people continued to show their support for Olivia Rodrigo in her all-female lineup for the festival.
The festival was created as a way to raise donations for organizations supporting women’s and girls’ rights. It was also a way to celebrate women in the music industry.
Most of the 45,000 people that went were women with the few men that were boyfriends/dads. Many of the people that went were seen wearing cute babydoll shirts, boots, and flower crowns. The theme a lot of people were going with for their outfits was prime 2016.
The line up for the festival consisted of many talented female artists such as Bikini Kill, the Breeders, Chappell Roan, Devon Again, Die Spitz, Doechii, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not for Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and Oliva Rodgrio as the headliner with special guests. The performances were split between two separate stages, Dandelion and Marigold. Even though there were two stages, there were no overlapping performances, so fans could see all the artists perform.
“For a lot of the artists I was able to grab a spot really close to the stage, so I was pretty close to the stage for Doechii, Santigold, Chappell, Roan, and Olivia, and it was awesome to see them so close,” said ZoeSophia Bialecki, an attendee of the festival.
Hitching Post had the opportunity to interview ZoeSophia Bialecki, who attended the festival on August 29th. We asked her what her experience was like, and she said, “The hardest struggle of the festival was the heat. It got up to around 97, and there was no shade. To deal with the heat, I got cold drinks, and I sat in as much shade as I could find. But my favorite part was seeing Stevie Nicks perform Landslide.” We also asked her what she thought made this festival different from others, and she said “ I think what makes this festival special and different from others is the fact that they’re supporting really important causes and charities.”
This festival has made an important impact on history by raising thousands of dollars for women charities, and giving women a safe space to appreciate their favorite artists. Daisy Chain Field Festival has opened opportunities for many more female lead festivals. The 2027 festival will allow for even more attendees and fun memories. “ Everyone at the festival was so nice and gave away free stuff and was so supportive. I would recommend everyone to go again, even if it’s hot, it’s still worth it.”
