The World Cup Final is Set!

Finally, after 63 games have been played from all the top teams in the world in Qatar we have now come down to the two finalists, Argentina and France.

This World cup we have seen so many special and memorable moments, such as the Moroccan national team becoming the first African nation to reach the semi-finals and beating the likes of Spain & Portugal in the knockout rounds.

We can also look at the Japanese national team who proudly showed the world what's to come by shocking the soccer world by beating Germany and Spain and their gratefulness as it was reposted many times that the team would clean up the entire locker room after games and Japanese fans would even stay and clean up the stadium stands.

These are only some of the wonderful things that have happened during the competition. The beautiful game has never failed to deliver a wonderful spectacle for fans all over the world, although we can talk about the negatives leading up to the World Cup, it’s undeniable that this has been a wonderful time.

Nonetheless, the competition must come to an end. On December 18, 2022, the two best teams in this competition will face off. After fighting off 6 different teams combined, they will face off to bring the World Cup trophy back to their respective nation with full pride and joy.

This final can be considered the dream final for most as Argentina’s star player, Lionel Messi, will play his Second World Cup Final after his memorable loss in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro. The Argentine has had a hard time with his national team as he has lost a total of 4 finals and was criticized by most over this, but now after his 2021 Copa América win, many expected Messi to deliver spectacles at this year’s competition, despite their 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia in their opening match, Lionel Messi and company have brought themselves back up with the Star contributing with 5 goals and 4 assists and leading statistics, right next to France Superstar, Kylian Mbappé.

Argentina has shut down any critics towards them after reaching this final and many in the world will be rooting for Messi as the 35-year-old has undoubtedly been carrying his nation again, and this time is closer than ever before in his career to win the precious World Cup Trophy.

Unlike Argentina, France will be looking to defend their trophy after winning in 2018 in Russia and beating Croatia 4-2 in the final. While the team is missing 4-5 key players due to injury, their depth and talent have been shown in the tournament, and it’s clear as to why they are in the final, with the likes of Kylian Mbappé, one of the best players in the world, France will undoubtedly provide Argentina with their hardest game in the past 15 years and will be looking to win back to back titles.

Lionel Messi is now at the near end of his career and, for the past 15 years, has provided so much to the soccer world and his success is irreplaceable. Yet this is more than just Argentina vs France, it is Lionel Messi vs Kylian Mbappé, past vs present, the complete Superstar in Messi vs the rising star in Mbappé.

The two play in the same club team in France for giants PSG, and both are hungrier than ever to win. This final will be talked about for years to come and will be legacy defining for both Messi and Mbappé. The best team will lift the trophy on Sunday and the story of Qatar 2022, will finally come to a beautiful end, farewell.
