Mike Cessario didn't start a company that would take years to blossom. He went from getting funding by a business kickstarter company, to getting orders from 7-Eleven and Whole Foods.

In 2017, Cessario first filed for a trademark application to make the Liquid death name his to own. Before the water was available for consumers to purchase he started with making advertisement videos to gauge market interest for the product. In 2019, Liquid death raised $1.6 million in seed funding led by Science Inc. After a few more rounds of funding, in February 2020 the brand landed contracts with 7-eleven and Whole Foods Markets. Then in 2022 the company makes the biggest investment of its existence. Investing nearly $6.5 million for a Commercial for the 2022 Super Bowl. It was a make or break for the company. It worked. And now the company is worth $700 Million.
