Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum
The first exhibition race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series is here. On February 4th, the 45th Busch Light Classic is being held in the grand 77,500-seat LA Coliseum. The races include 27 cars with a total of 350 laps in 7 races.
The races are held on a measly quarter mile track and the way the event works is, based on lap times in qualifying, cars were put in one of four heat races of 25 laps each. The top 5 drivers in each 25-lap heat advanced to the feature. The rest of the drivers who don't advance from the qualifiers will go to one of two 50 lap LCQ (Last Chance Qualifiers). The top 3 racers from both LCQ will advance to the feature, which is 150 laps (37.5 miles).
This is a very affordable event, with tickets ranging from as low as $10 for kids 12 and under, to $275 for club seats. Some entertainment will be provided as well, with Dillion Francis doing live DJ, as well as Machine Gun Kelly doing an exclusive race-break performance.
So if you are a fan of NASCAR or just a fan of racing, you should consider checking out the Busch Light Clash.
