What Your Favorite Thanksgiving Dish Says About Your Personality

Thanksgiving is the one day of the year when families and friends get together and feast on delicious Thanksgiving meals. This is also when  calories don’t count, but the next day it will.

Do you ever stop and wonder what your favorite Thanksgiving dish says about you? Well, the Hitching Post asked students and teachers what their favorite Thanksgiving dish was and here’s what they had to say.

9th Grader, Isaac Leiva  says his favorite dishes are mac and cheese and sweet potato. He says “If the cheese is cheezin’ then it’s bomb.”

9th Grader, Sean Alvarez’s favorite Thanksgiving dish also happens to be mac and cheese. However he also likes mashed potatoes with gravy. “If you forget the gravy then you’re crazy!”

It seems to be that mac and cheese is a common favorite. Yet, 9th Grader Karina Gomez’s favorite Thanksgiving meal is a little more creative than others. She likes Turkey with gravy, along with pumpkin pie on the side for her dessert. “It’s my favorite food combo on Thanksgiving.”

Math teacher Dr. Whitney says that her favorite Thanksgiving dish is scalloped potato. “It’s the best because my mom makes it every year!” For her dessert of choice, pumpkin pie is the winner. It’s her favorite holiday because she get to hang out with friends and family.

Ms. Ames says “I’m a veggie gal! There are so many veggies dishes that I enjoy. German red cabbage and glazed carrots are a must. But the special dish that only comes around on holidays like Thanksgiving is a corn pudding casserole. Sweet and savory! My favorite!!”
