Trouble in United?

Despite a fiery start last season with new coach Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United now sit in trouble in the Champions League.

Manchester United were put into group A for the new 2023/2024 season for the UEFA Champions League, the most prestigious club competition in the world. They were put in with teams like German super-club—Bayern Munich, Copenhagen, and Galatasaray.

Before the season, United were expected to pass through the group, as last season, towards the end of the Premier League campaign, they saw a positive flow of results. But this season has been nothing that anyone expected, they have won only one game, tied once and lost an astonishing three games.

These results have put them dead last in the table, and concern for Manchester United has grown immensely. Furthermore, they have the most goals scored in the group with 12, but also have the most goals conceded with 14.

The next match for United will be against Bayern Munich, which most expect to be a comfortable win for Bayern. Nevertheless, Manchester United must win this game for them to even have a chance to continue on in the tournament. For United, it truly is win or go home.
