We finally return to the Champions League, where the best of European clubs compete for the prestigious trophy. Now that the round of 16 has ended, the draw has been made for the quarterfinals, where we are now 12 games away from the final in Istanbul!

The UEFA Champions League is the biggest club competition in the world. It’s where the best of the best compete for European glory to establish themselves as Europe’s best team.

This year we have seen the return of several Italian clubs making it back to the final 8, with the likes of Napoli, Inter Milan and Ac Milan! As well as a surprising appearance from Portuguese giants Benfica.

This year we are gifted with a very interesting bracket. First we will see Italy’s best team, Napoli, go against Ac Milan who sit in fourth place in Italy top flight division—Serie A.

Next we have West London's very finest—Chelsea Fc, who will take on Spanish giants, Real Madrid. Real Madrid are the competition's previous winners, who notably beat Chelsea in the quarterfinals last year. This fixture is expected to be one of the most entertaining matches as Chelsea look for revenge on Madrid, while Los Blancos look to defend their title!

For the third match, Inter Milan, who currently sit in third place in Serie A, will face Portuguese's finest—Benfica. In what is expected to be an entertaining match, we will see two sides who are well-balanced both in skill, in what will be a well fought battle to reach the semifinals!

Lastly we have Premier League giants, Manchester City, who are looking to finally win their first Champions League title, going against German super club—Bayern Munich. This has to be the most anticipated match as Manchester City has been in amazing form and with an addition of world-class striker—Erling Haaland who’s also in spectacular form, this is surely to be one of the best matches of this year. Adding onto this, Bayern Munich has always been a troublesome side to compete with, as their structured style of play is hard to compete against and having their own star in Sadio Mané returning to play will surely cause Manchester City some problems!

This years quarter finals is definitely something special and we expect the semi finals and finals to be spectacular as well. Let the best clubs in Europe battle it out for the prestigious title of Europe's best team!
