2026 Movies So Far
2026 has been a GREAT year for movies. This year most movies released had massive box office hits, critical acclaim, and packed theaters. For example, Spider-man: Brand New Day (AKA Spider-man 4) was the BIGGEST movie event of 2026 (for now). Spider-Man Brand New Day was released to theaters on Jul 31, 2026. Marvel Studios and Colombia Pictures Films SHATTERED box office records, grossing over 2.49 BILLION worldwide.
Upcoming Releases
For the last three months for 2026, there are still twelve movies coming out. Six in October, two in November, and lastly four in December.
October Movies:
- Digger (October 2): An action-adventure film starring Tom Cruise and directed by Alejandro G. Inarritu
- The Social Reckoning (October 9): A drama about the tech industry written by Aaron Sorkin
- Street Fighter (October 16): A live-action video game reboot featuring classic fighters
- Clayface (October 23): A gritty R-rated horror film from dc studios (This movie I am probably going to go watch since like Clayface is my third favorite Batman villain)
- Wildwood (October 23): A stop motion fantasy adventure from Laikia Studios
- Klara and the Sun (October 23): A sci-fi drama directed by Taika Waititi and starring Jenna Ortega
November Movies:
- Godzilla Minus Zero (November 6): A monster film directed by Yamazaki, arriving in North America (ALSO a movie I’m going to watch since it’s like Godzilla)
- The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (November 20): The next chapter in the massive dystopian franchise (might watch this because I’m curious how Haymitch survived the 50th Hunger Games)
December Movies:
- Violent Nights 2 (December 3): David Harbour returns as an action-packed Santa Claus facing a new holiday threat.
- Dune: Part Three (December 18): Denis Villeneuve finishes his sci-fi epic trilogy starring Timothee Chalamet
- The Angry Birds Movie 3 (December 23): An animated comedy following comedy following red and his flock
AND THE MOST ANTICPATED MOVIE FOR DECEMBER 2026 COMING OUT ALSO DECEMBER 18 IS: AVENGERS DOOMSDAY. Marvel’s 5th Avengers movie looks like its going to be THE BEST Avengers movie. With Robert Downey Jr. as DOCTOR DOOM (Victor Von Doom) this is going to be a super exciting movie due to the X-men, Sam Wilson, the Thunderbolts/New Avengers, the Fantastic Four, AND Deadpool and Wolverine…all going to be there in this film. Rumors are that Sam Raimi’s Spider-man is PROBABLY going to be there, but that’s just a rumor and probably not true. Another rumor is that the Avengers main Spider-man is NOT going to be there.
Here are some other opinions from other students
Nathan Salinas says “I’m hyped for Doomsday because I get to see Thor and Dr. Doom. I can’t wait to watch with my friend Brandy Banegas Ramos and Leonardo Da Vinci.”
Alexis Robles says “I’m excited to see Doomsday because it looks like it’s going to be really cool and awesome.”
And Carl Johnson said “I’m excited to see Robert Downey Jr. coming back to the Marvel cinematic universe.”
2026 has came out with great movies but these last 12 movies sound so good and I am definitely going to watch Clayface, Godzilla Minus Zero, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, and Avengers Doomsday. I hope none of these movies get delayed and hit theaters as soon as possible. 😎
