Mesa’s latest musical is on the way, and we hope you can see it!
The Musical, Willy Wonka Jr., is based on the popular book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Ronald Dahl.
In the story, Willy Wonka, the owner of a famous chocolate factory, announces a contest where there will be 5 golden tickets hidden in Willy Wonka chocolate bars.
Most of the children who find the ticket are of a peculiar personality. Augustus Gloop, a gluttonous boy who can’t stop eating, Violet Beauregarde, a girl who can’t stop chewing gum, Veruca Salt, a spoiled girl whose father is rich, and Mike Teevee, a boy who is obsessed with TV.
The 5th child to find a ticket is our protagonist, Charlie Bucket. He is a little boy whose family is poor and can’t afford much, but his life turns around when he finds the ticket.
I wouldn’t want to spoil the rest of the story for you, so you’ll have to see the show to know what happens next.
The shows are on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th at 7:00 P.M. with a show at 2:00 P.M. on the 5th.
Tickets are $12 for children under 12 and senior citizens, and $15 general admission.
I hope you can see the show!
