Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. His Album D*MN was the Grammy Award winner for Best Rap Album, and he’s won several Grammy Awards for Rap Performance, Rap Song, and Melodic Rap Performance. He’s also been nominated for an Oscar.
His most recent song, “Family Ties” with Baby Keem won the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance.
Recently, the artist has announced that he is releasing another album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The D*MN follow up is set to come out May 13, 2022.
Kendrick Lamar is mostly known for his ability to paint a picture of how society treats African Americans, suppression, and discrimination. He also tells stories of his experiences, beliefs, ideas, and how he grew up in Compton.
He zooms into the flaws of the government such as police brutality, discrimination, racism, and other laws.
