Doja Cat Quit Music – Or Did She?

Popular music-artist and songwriter , Doja Cat, claims that she is “quitting music” on Twitter after a, well, confusing scandal.

Doja cat had been producing songs since 2018, but really hit her initial success with “Mooo!”,  which quickly became an internet meme.

On November 7th 2019, Doja released the album titled “Hot Pink," and won awards such as MTV’s “Best New Artist.”

Needless to say, she had become pretty big amongst the younger generations.

That was until some controversy, pushing her to quit.

Doja Cat was supposed to perform in Paraguay, but that ended up being canceled because of a storm.

Doja Cat said in a now deleted tweet, “There was a storm in Paraguay, the show got canceled. When I left the next morning there was one person waiting outside the hotel waiting for me. Let that sink in.”

A few days later, after a performance in Brazil, Doja Cat took to Twitter once more to apologize for not giving Brazil “a good enough show.”

This set some people off because she didn’t even give anyone in Paraguay a show, and said nothing, but apologized to Brazil for not being "good enough."

After the backlash, Doja tweeted “it’s gone and i don’t give a f*** anymore i f***** quit i can’t wait to f****** disappear and i don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and i’m a f****** fool for ever thinking i was made for this this is a f****** nightmare unfollow me.”

She followed this by changing her name on Twitter to “i quit”, but then  changed it back later. Doja appears to still be active on Twitter, still making tweets as if nothing happened.

Did she actually quit, or was it  a spur of the moment  claim out of anger?
