Robert Nesta Marley (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer/songwriter in a band called The Wailers. People consider Marley the ‘founder’ of reggae. His musical career started in 1963 when he formed a band with his friends Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso and Cherry Smith. They first called themselves The Teenagers, then changed it to The Wailing Rudeboys, then to the name we all know today: The Wailers.

Some of Bob Marley's biggest hits are , Three Little Birds Could You Be Loved, and  Jamming.
