Recent reports from several sources around the footballing (soccer) world have suggested that Mikel Arteta told his entourage that he was planning on leaving this summer.
Mikel Arteta, who is the coach of Arsenal FC, has brought a resurgence of life within the club since the glory days with Arsenal Wenger.
He has brought back Arsenal into the spotlight as competitors in the Premier League for the title, and developed young talent such as Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegard.
Reports from Sport, Dario, and his entourage suggest that Mikel Arteta would be leaving this season, as his contract is coming to an end.
However, Arteta has denied these reports and claims, and says that he wants to stay. He even said to the media that it was “fake news.”
This report came out just as Barcelona manager, Xavi, revealed that he would be leaving at the end of the season.
Arteta also said how upset he was with this news and how he could not believe it.
So as of today, Areteta is 100% committed to Arsenal and will not be leaving this summer.
