Andrew Tate BANNED off the Internet
Andrew Tate, an alleged sexist, misogynist, and irrefutably a social media phenomenon, was recently banned on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more due to the violation of the platforms’ terms of service.
But who is Andrew Tate, and why do we care?
Andrew Tate is an internet celebrity who rose to fame in the past year for his outlandish and shocking statements on the state of the world and controversial topics.
His rise to internet stardom and fame began in early 2022, when hundreds of TikTok accounts started reuploading clips and small videos of him onto the site.
These hundreds of videos began to blow up, and almost overnight, they went viral.
Almost all of these TikTok videos were clips of Tate talking about his various controversial opinions on economy, gender roles, and politics.
The Quotes
What exactly are these things that he’s said?
On August 5th, 2022, a video was posted on youtube showing Andrew Tate saying “I do know how to administer CPR. However, I will not administer CPR unless you’re a hot female… If you’re some fat dude and you just had a heart attack and I don’t really know you, you’re gonna die..”
However, most of the hate that Tate receives is due to his quotes on women, and how he talks about them
“I think the women belong to the man.”
“Females are the ultimate status symbol… People think I’m running around with these **** because I like sex. That’s nothing to do with the reason why I’m running around with these *******. I got these ******* just so everyone knows who the don is.” (link unprovided)
It seems like Tate has absolutely no regard for the consequences that he would have to face from saying everything he says.
With his substantially huge platform, the things he says will leave an imprint on the ignorant teenage boy mindset for what seems like years to come.
But the primary reason for Tate’s ban is something he ‘allegedly’ did, off the internet.
But what exactly did he do, you ask?
Big Brother
In his earlier years, before his fame when he was just an underground 20-year-old kickboxer, Andrew Tate appeared on the show “Big Brother.”
While on the show, Tate would appear with a personality that resembles the same one he is known for today.
In the show, Tate is considered a “player” and a “ladies man”.
When a video of him abusing a woman with a belt surfaced the internet in 2016, the show quickly proceeded in kicking him out of Big Brother.
In the video, Andrew Tate is seen hitting one of his housemates with a belt while shouting obscenities at her.
“I said, ‘Tell the camera that I beat you because you don’t do as I say.’ That’s right, lock the door you ******* *****, you knew I was going to beat the **** out of you. If you behaved I wouldn’t have to hit you, would I?”
Once this video resurfaced the internet in 2022, the social media platforms banned him.
Aftermath
As of September of 2022, Andrew Tate is continuously trying to regain acceptance and validation from the internet and become the sensation he once was.
