The Texas Rangers came in with a huge victory for their first world series in the MLB ever against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Rangers have appeared in two world series before this one and lost to the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Rangers had the best seven game series out of any team, going 4-1 after only having a 30% chance to win, but this didn't come easy.
The last game was extremely suspenseful, the Diamondbacks’ pitcher was having an amazing game, not letting anyone get a hit. By the 6th inning, both teams were scoreless.
In the beginning of the seventh inning, Rangers’ shortstop, Corey Seager, broke the no hitting curse and broke a single. Two batters later, Seager got to home plate to score their first run. By the ninth inning, they scored four more points and won the World Series.
The Rangers peaked at the most important time to win the commissioner's trophy.
The Rangers won 11 straight postseason games, making the longest postseason winning streak in MLB history.
Seager hit three home runs during the whole series and won MPV, becoming the fourth player ever to win two world series MVPs. Seager after the game said, “I'm just happy to be part of this team.”
