2024 NFL Playoffs

After a crazy 2023-24 NFL season, the 2024 NFL playoff season is here. 14 teams will fight for a chance at playing in Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas.

The AFC playoff teams include (by seed), (1) Ravens, (2) Bills, (3) Chiefs, (4) Texans, (5) Browns, (6) Dolphins, and (7) Steelers. The NFC teams include, (1) 49ers, (2) Cowboys, (3) Lions, (4) Buccaneers, (5) Eagles, (6) Rams, and (7) Packers.

The number one seed from the AFC and NFC Ravens and 49ers, will get a bye-week, so the remaining 12 teams play in the Wild-card round. The Wild-card weekend is Jan 13, 14, and 15. The matchups include…

NFC

(7) Green Bay Packers at (2) Dallas Cowboys - Sunday 4:30 ET on FOX

(6) LA Rams at (3) Detroit Lions - Sunday 8:30 ET on NBC

(5) Philadelphia  Eagles at (4) Tampa BayBuccaneers - Monday 8:00 ET on ESPN, ABC

AFC

(5) Cleveland Browns at (4) Houston Texans - Saturday 4:30 ET on NBC

(6) Miami Dolphins at (3) Kansas City Chiefs - Saturday 8:15 ET on Peacock

(7) Pittsburgh Steelers at (2) Buffalo Bills - Sunday 1 ET on CBS

One of the most anticipated Wild card round games is the Rams vs Lions. Back in January 2021, the two teams made a trade which sent the then Rams QB Jared Goff to the Lions in return for Star QB Matthew Stafford to the Rams. This is the first time that Matthew Stafford will play at Ford field since being traded.

Some reports are saying that there will be a fan made ban on wearing Matthew Stafford Lions jerseys at the game. Stafford's wife wasn't too fond of this report and put out a statement saying, “Well this is sad because it's the completely opposite of how we feel about this city, but Matthew has always been the bigger person and will continue to be that. Praying for an incredible game with zero injuries.” It should be a great game considering the hot streak the Rams have been on with a 7-1 record in their last 8 games, and also the fact it's been 8 seasons since the Lions have been to the playoffs and 30 years since they've won their division.

Divisional Round takes place on Jan. 20 and 21. There are 4 games in total. Two on the 20th and two on the 21st. Conference Championship is on Jan 28 and will be played at homes of the highest remaining seeds of each conference.  And just before the Super Bowl, is the 2024 Pro-Bowl games. Where the best select players from every team come to compete in skills showdowns and a flag football game. Then the Super Bowl itself will take place on Feb 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
