In group B, Lens defeated Arsenal, and Sevilla took a draw with PSV.
Real Madrid leads group C, beating Napoli in a 3-2 thriller. Braga came back from a two-goal deficit, beating Union Berlin 3-2.
Newcastle are first place in group F, after beating PSG 4-1 at St. James Park. Milan and Dortmund played out a 0-0 draw.
Group G has last year's winner, Manchester City, in first, beating RB Leipzig 3-1. Young Boys and Crvena Zvezda tied 2-2.
In group H, Barcelona beat Porto in a tough 1-0 win, and Shaktar beat Antwerp 3-2.
