Messi and Ronaldo Save The Day in UEFA Champions League

This week in the UEFA Champions League has been one to go down in history.

The Champions League is the most prestigious club competition in the world of football.  The competition consists of the best teams from each top league around the world.

Both Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo scored the winning goal in their respective matches (3-2).

Messi and his team (Paris-Saint Germain or PSG) faced up against German side RB Leipzig at their home field in Paris. 

The French team were down 1-2 when Messi scored a sound tap-in to equalize. 

Later in the 74’ minute, a penalty was given to PSG with Messi putting it in the back of the net to win the game. 

Back in England at Old Trafford, Ronaldo and Manchester United F.C. found themselves 0-2 down to Atalanta at home. 

While they had a poor start in the first half, United would bounce back with goals from M. Rashford and H. Maguire, equalizing the game at the 75th minute. 

In the last 10 minutes of the game, Luke Shaw crossed the ball into the box where Ronaldo would complete the comeback with a thumping header into the left corner.
