On January 16th, the 8th grade boys basketball team played Harbor Day at Harbor Day’s homecourt. Unfortunately, the game ended up being a blowout win for Harbor Day with the score being 15-47.
“We did terrible, flat out we did terrible, but there's always the next game.” Ethan Porter, center for Mesa, said. Ethan, the starting center for the team, definitely takes this loss seriously and can't wait to prove himself next game.
“We did awful because of the effort, the team couldn’t do anything on the court and wasn’t [ready] for our shots” says another player, Dominec.
All in all the team is definitely hanging their heads over this loss and can’t wait for their next game to get back on track.
