Origins
The tradition of wearing a Halloween costume began 2000 years ago at an ancient Celtic festive festival called Samhain. The Samhain was a festival where people would light bonfires and cover themselves in disguises and scary outfits to avoid spirits from mistaking them as other spirits. This is still a tradition to this day but with a different reason.
Costumes started off as a way for people to participate in festival and it’s really became a way in present time for people to show off their unique and creative ideas.

Unicorn costume has been a recent trending solo costume. Many wear colorful, rainbow tutus with unicorn headband, wings, fur boots, and fun sparkly makeup.
