Every Halloween, there is always one house that is notorious for being the best decorated, the one that’s talked about weeks after. That house that always goes all out. While buying Halloween decorations can help bring a spooky – atmosphere to your house, there’s a lot more that goes into decorating for Halloween than what meets the eye.

To truly create a truly immersive Halloween house, start by incorporating natural elements of your front yard to help increase your spooky ambience.
– Using bushes to hide spiders that jump out on you or
– Hiding animatronics that hang from trees
– Using balconies or windows to hide animatronics or designs

One clever trick is to pair your candy bowl with a remote-activated animatronic. Set up a figure that looks broken or inactive next to the candy. When kids reach for a treat, activate it remotely to startle them. It’s a great way to create suspense and leave a lasting impression.

Stores:
This year, tariffs have affected Halloween decoration prices all around the country. It has led to higher prices, tighter inventory, and less selection. Popular stores such as Spirit Halloween has been forced to have a smaller selection of Halloween assets due to tariffs. Approximately 90% of all Halloween items such as decorations, costumes, etc. are imported from China. During April, tariffs were 145%, meaning that most Halloween decorations would have increased by almost 2.5 times the original price.

One lesser known fact one may know is that candies can matter. In a recent Halloween candy survey, they took a look at sales for each candy at multiple locations.
1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (Hershey) – $509.85m in sales

2. M&Ms (Mars) – $500.82m in sales

3. Snickers (Mars) – $456.91m in sales

4. Hershey’s (Hershey) – $324.63m in sales

5.Kit Kat (Hershey) – $306.51m in sales

Globally, Snickers leads in global sales, as worldwide, Chocolate treats dominate the candy industry. Snickers combines a chocolatey shell with a base of nougat, a sweet base, with caramel and peanuts, creating a unique, nutty caramel treat.
