In my opinion, I think most people don’t do their New year’s resolutions or they just forget about them and end up not doing them.
What percentage of New Year's resolutions ultimately fail?
While nearly half of Americans make New Year's resolutions, only about 25% of people actually stay committed to their resolutions after just 30 days. And even fewer, less than 10%, accomplish their goals.
Everyone should know what a New Year’s resolution is. If you're a person that doesn’t know what it is, well, it’s a commitment people make to achieve their goal(s). While some people have success and accomplish their goals, others struggle to achieve them. It’s likely that by the end of January, most people have fallen off track and did not accomplish their goal. This is due to the fact that people don’t keep their goals long-term, have little motivation, or short planning.
People that set clear, specific goals for themselves tend to do better than those who have vague resolutions.
An explanation of people not accomplishing their New Year’s resolutions is because as more time passes, the more they will forget about their goals.
Another reason would be because of real life things getting in the way, like for example hanging out with friends, duties, ect.
People that do accomplish their New Year’s resolutions most likely set their goals according to their lifestyle. For example, if you like to work out, one of your goals can be to work out more or to workout 2 times a week.
People achieve their goals by staying motivated and taking small steps each and every day. They stay motivated to achieve their goals by doing things that give them energy and by having a routine.
