The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars is a great book to read if you are into romance and adventure. Hazel Lancaster and Gus Waters both have cancer. They share the love for a book called "An Imperial Affliction" by Peter Van Houten. Both are invited to meet this author and they go on the experience of their lives.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Book Thief is a book about a little german girl, Liesel, alive during the Holocaust. This book is narrated by Death himself. Liesel's family is hiding a young Jewish boy from the Nazi's. Will this boy die or survive?


The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas

Starr Carter is a girl who walks a fine line in between two worlds. One of the black neighborhood and the other of her mostly white school. When she witnesses her best friends death at the hands of a police officer she must make a choice. To stay silent or stand up for what is right.


The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

This novel is about a young boy named Ponyboy Curtis. He has 2 brothers, Darry and Sodapop. They are orphans and they live together. They live on the East Side of town and are greasers. They struggle to keep out of trouble when trouble always lurks just around the corner. This book teaches you that class conflict is pointless and can be destructive even. You will go on a journey with Ponyboy as he sees that anybody can be a hero.


Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

Eleanor and Park is a story about two young misfits that fall in love with each other. They are both thwarted by bad luck. After being forced to sit on a bus together they learn that love might not always be so bad.


Divergent by Veronica Roth

Tris Prior lives in a world where you are divided into 5 fractions. You chose a house and you have to commit to it. She decides to go with Dauntless. (It is for those who pursue bravery) She soon learns that she is Divergent, they don't fit into any specific house, and must keep it a secret. She uncovers a war that might just harm everybody she knows and loves. Will they survive?
