CMHS Baseball has a new look as two new faces are introduced to lead the program, one being a familiar face to some.

Jim Kiefer and Timmy Richards are to take the reins of the program and lead it to success during the 2021-22 school year.

The returning coach, Kiefer, has an extensive background in coaching including Costa Mesa High from 2005-2011. Richards has coached for the last 3 years at Concordia.

The goal for Kiefer this year is to establish a respectable winning program that our school will watch and think highly of.

“I did not come here to lose, even if this is my only year here, we’re gonna do it right,” said Kiefer to his players after Thursday’s practice.

He also emphasized the importance of passing the “eyeball test”, which means to look organized and professional as a program.

As the team prepares for the 2021-22 season, the new coaches look to establish a program with discipline and a winning mentality.
