Xbox Exclusives coming to PlayStation and the Switch

Xbox is known for having exclusive content, which makes it different from its competitors like Nintendo and PlayStation. Recently, some Xbox exclusives have been announced to be going on the PS5 and also the Switch.

There have already been 4 confirmed games being brought to PlayStation and/or Nintendo.

Microsoft has bought one Xbox exclusive to the PS4, PS5, and Switch, this being Pentiment, an RPG game. There will be three more games also being released on these consoles. Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves will be coming to PS5 on March 19th and April 30th. For people that are fans of co-op adventure games, Grounded will be coming to PS4, PS5, and Switch on April 16th.

It seems like Xbox will be continuing this pattern of bringing games to rival companies— but what will this mean for big Xbox-exclusive games like Halo?

It could have a big impact on the franchise, like increasing the audience. Bringing Halo to PlayStation and Nintendo means fans of those companies will be having access to Halo.

This trend of being able to have access to exclusive games was what had most likely paved the way for this movement. Bringing these games to rival companies is a literal game changer, which could signify a new era of gaming, and could make it possible for even Nintendo and PlayStation to do the same.
