What’s cooking in the LA Kings’ kitchen?

The LA Kings are at a 14-8-3 and killing the competition in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The stats never lie, and they show that the Kings are determined to play to their best ability and to have a guaranteed spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. 

The Kings are very consistent with penalty kills, and have more penalty kills than teams outside their league. Having an 80.3% rate of penalty kills, and without one player, the Kings are one of the many teams that have the goals against average. When put against a challenge, the Kings are dead set on getting a goal.

With all this traveling, the Kings have little to no sleep and no time to practice, and they still manage to win, which tells a lot. Being on the Kings isn’t for the weak. The Kings, with every fiber of their being, are very determined to win game after game. 

Captain Anže Kopitar has been the Kings’ best player, and overall has the most points and assists out of the entire LA Kings team-GP: 25 P:8 A: 21 P:29. Kopitar is having a great season and continues to thrive in his 19th season. 

Teammate Trevor Moore said about Kopitar, “(He) knows where to be and where to put the puck.” Kopitar is such a great leader because of how he controls the flow of the game and how he makes the game interesting.

Kings fans can smell another Stanley Cup for the Kings, with Kopitar leading the team again. 

Through thick and thin, the LA Kings can overcome many challenges this season and can be guaranteed a spot in the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals.
