13 years after the live action movie, the Scott Pilgrim franchise will be getting an animated adaptation of the comics.
23-year-old Scott Pilgrim is dating a high schooler when he meets Ramona Flowers, a recently single American girl. Scott finds himself in love with Ramona and decides to defeat her seven evil exes, while trying to keep up with his band and figuring out how to break up with his 17-year-old girlfriend.
The show will be based off of the comics, meaning it will be taking place over a longer period of time and have slight differences in the story. However, the series will have the same soundtrack as the live action movie.
The series has all the same actors voicing the animated characters as the movie; Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, and Ellen Wong as Knives Chau.
The trailers have all the main characters animated in the comic book style, done by Science SARU. Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will be released exclusively to Netflix on November 17.
