Construction at OCC
There is big construction happening at OCC. One project is a new College Center and Student Life building and the other is on-campus housing. The College Center will have space for a cafeteria, culinary arts, hospitality programs, meetings & events, and administrative offices. While the Student Life building will be for clubs and programs. OCC will be the first community college to offer on-campus housing just like the Universities do. The on-campus housing will have 323 units and 814 beds from singe units to 4 bedroom apartments. It is unknown how much rent would be but College officials want to give a more affordable housing option to students. Both projects are expected to be finished in fall of 2020.
