Club Rush

Club Rush took place at the bleachers next to the Dome on Friday, September 26. As always, it was packed and lines were long, and everyone was excited to buy food and support clubs. Most of the food ranged from $3 to $10 and there were even some good deals like slices of pizza for $5.

Some of the clubs were Drama, NJHS, WEB, Latino Culture, and Mesa Dance Collective Club. The most popular item was Cane’s, which was being sold by the Cadu Coast Club. Other popular items were Juice It Up, sold by the Mesa Dance Club; pizza, sold by the Key Club; and Chinese food, sold by the Asian Culture Club.

Interviewee Jackson Burke stated, “Club Rush is the best event at the school because of the food, especially Cane’s.”

The Costa Mesa Band was performing during Club Rush, and they were performing their hit songs. Clubs use the money to improve their clubs or buy merchandise for their clubs. Club Rush isn’t only once a year, as later on in the school year they have it again and also another version called Santa’s Village, which takes place in the winter.

Next time there is Club Rush, make sure to bring money and support MESA!
