Another “El Clásico” took place this past Sunday with Barcelona taking the victory against Real Madrid yet again! The crowd roared with pure excitement for another overwhelming game. Here’s the recap!
The Supercopa de Espana took place at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Saudi Arabia on January 12th, with everyone’s staring rivals, Barca and Madrid. The stadium held over 50 thousand spectators, creating a diverse and overwhelming experience for everyone.
Barcelona’s starting lineup for the match included star players like Lamine Yamal, Gavi, Raphinha and more, having a 4-2-3-1 line up. Real Madrid’s line up was a 4-3-3 including their star players, Mbappe, Vinicius, Camavinga, etc.
Five minutes into the match, Mbappe scored a goal for Madrid, leading them to the win in the beginning of the match. About 17 minutes later, Lamine Yamal, Barca’s youngest star player scored, making the score 1-1.
More into the match, at the 36-minute mark, there was a penalty. Lewondaski took the pen, scoring 2-5 against Real Madrid! As the 39-minute mark came, another one of Barca’s players, Raphinha, scored a header, making it of course-- another goal for the Spanish team.
By the end of the first half, Barcelona was already at four goals while Madrid stayed at one, creating worry for the team. Within two minutes of the second half, Barcelona scored yet again, another goal by Raphinha!
Around the 60-minute mark, Real Madrid player Rodrygo scores during a penalty, creating more tension, seeing if Real Madrid can redeem themselves. By the end of the match, Real Madrid did not score any more goals, making Barcelona the 2025 winners of the Supercopa de Espana!
