Love Island USA 2024 has become one of the most popular shows around the world over the summer! From love bombing to heartbreaks, the 2024 season had ended after six fulfilling weeks, leaving the world in either sad happiness or happy sadness.
Producers came to the rescue and announced a reunion, almost a month after the finale, causing major excitement for everyone who fell in love with the show. Major drama spilled all over the reunion, and I’m here to tell you all about it.
Love Island, the reality dating tv show, came out with its USA version in summer of 2019, and has been streaming every summer since. Love Island brings in a group of single people into a luxury villa, and sets them up to find love within a six-week period, but not without many twists and turns.
The initial “islanders” are not the only ones staying in the villa, there are bombshells coming in and out of the villa testing the bonds between the initial coupled up islanders. Through challenges and contests, each person will test who could be their potential match through love-aches and heartaches.
Islanders including the bombshells can get dropped if they are not coupled up or voted as one of America’s favorites. Towards the end of the six week period, there are four couples who make it to the finale, and one couple gets voted as America's favorite and wins an astonishing $100,000 prize.
Love Island USA this summer became popular across many social media platforms, causing many people to watch Love Island for the first time ever.
During the beginning of the show, America fell in love with islanders Leah Kateb and Rob Rausch, who were one of the first people to be coupled up in the beginning. Through drama and a new bombshell, the couple fell when Rob chose bombshell Andrea Carmona over Leah.
Leah eventually found the man of her dreams, Miguel Harichi, who was also a bombshell that came in later in the season. Leah and Miguel were the runners up in the finale—the winners being Serena Page and Kordell Beckham Jr., who also had their mishaps and drama, but eventually worked it out and they won America’s heart.
The Love Island reunion rolled around less than a month after the finale. Every person in the show had to recap and face their own drama that was left in the villa. Two original islanders, Aaron and Kaylor, were coupled up since day one and were “fingers-crossed” tight throughout the show, until Aaron went to Casa Amor, a separate villa for either the girls or the guys of the season to meet a group of possible new connections, where he met Daniela Ortiz.
Aaron and Daniela sparked a strong connection and were very physically and verbally affectionate with each other, without Kaylor's knowledge. That was until she received a video message in the villa of Aaron having a touchy moment with Daniela.
Aaron and Kaylor seemed fine after they had worked out their mishaps in the villa. But during the reunion, Aaron explained everything he did with Daniela and how he completely lied to Kaylor before about the extent of his interations. Major lashes were thrown at each other from Kaylor telling Aaron she is over him, to Aaron saying she never checked up on him and wasn’t supportive.
Another major drama that occurred right after the end of the season was when Kendall, an original islander, had a private video of his leaked. Him and his partner Nicole, who were one of the finalists, were both at the reunion. Nicole had come forward and explained how Kendall lied to her about the video and how recent it was during the reunion. Nicole lashed in tears explaining he never cared to check up on her and was a liar. A day after the reunion, Nicole had posted via Instagram that she and Kendall were no longer together.
Although the drama was very harsh and intense for some of the islanders, the final girls, excluding Nicole, have all officially been asked by their islander boys to be their girlfriends!
