Disneyland To Administer COVID-19 Vaccines

COVID-19 Vaccines such as Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine are authorized for distribution and use. It was announced these vaccines will be administered to those eligible at Disneyland on January 13th.

In California, healthcare workers and long term care residents are in Phase 1A, and are qualified to receive the vaccine. Appointments are required, in which employers will contact their employees to schedule. To ensure that only people in Phase 1A are getting vaccinated, identification will be required on site.

On January 11, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced the vaccination plans through a tweet that read “NEW: CA will be opening mass vaccination sites this week including Dodgers Stadium, Padres Stadium, and CalExpo,”

As of January 8, about 56,099 people have already been given the COVID-19 vaccine in various locations around Orange County. When more vaccines become available, Phases 1B, and 1C will open. These tiers will include people ages 65+, education and childcare workers, emergency responders, food/agriculture, transportation and logistics workers, commercial, industrial, residential, and shelter workers, homeless, and the incarcerated.
