CMHS Will Transition to Fully In-Person Learning

On April 26th, Cohorts A and B will be joining to become one in-person Cohort, going to school 4 times a week as opposed to the old model with students attending in-person class twice a week.

Face masks will be worn at all times, with 3 feet minimum distance in class and social distancing required during breaks and lunch. Students will be screened and those with possible symptoms or have been in close contact or exposed will remain at home. The classrooms and other shared facilities will be disinfected frequently. These protocols, having been implemented since the opening of school campus in December, are said to be effective in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

While the in-person cohort will be required to attend school 4 times a week, Cohort C students will zoom with their teachers for at least 15 minutes per class period and have asynchronous work to do out of class. “Week at a glance” agendas will be posted in Google Classroom or through SchoolLoop, where students are expected to communicate to teachers when necessary.

Students wishing to switch to another Cohort must inform Mr. Gall [email protected] by noon tomorrow (4/23) to switch specifically from Cohort C to in-person. To switch from in-person to Cohort C, use the At Home Learning form linked HERE. After tomorrow, students will not be allowed to make any changes as to which cohort they are in.

Mondays will still remain a distance learning day, with April 26th having a special schedule with 20 minute class periods for staff members to adequately prepare their classrooms for return.
